Randy accepts knives and tools mailed in for sharpening. The prices below apply. Randy will contact you upon arrival and invoice you via PayPal.
Sharpening Prices:
Knife Blades under 6-inches: $7.00 each
Knife Blades over 6-inches: $9.00 each
Scissors: $6.00 each; Large shears/pinking shears: $9.00 each
Pruners and lopers: $5.00 each
Axes and hatchets: $9.00 each
Chisels: $6.00 each
Hand plane blades: $9.00 each
Knife sharpening prices INCLUDE restoring a razor-sharp edge to the blade. However, knives that have broken tips, deep nicks and dents in the blade will be charged an additional $3.00 each. Likewise, blades that require major re-beveling of the blade angles will be charged an additional $3.00 to $6.00, depending on the angle and length of the blade.
Knife sharpening prices INCLUDE cleaning the blade. However, heavily tarnished blades and rusty blades will be charged AT LEAST an additional $3.00 each.
Knife sharpening prices INCLUDE cleaning the handle. However, badly damaged or loose wooden handles will be repaired, sanded and re-oiled at an additional charge of $3.00 each.
Axes, hatchets, pruners, lopers and other outdoor tool sharpening prices include cleaning and oiling the tool. Excessive rust and pitch will be charged and additional $3.00 each.
The cost of return shipping to you via USPS Flat Rate Mail will be added:
1 to 5 knives, ADD $8.50
6 or more knives, ADD $15.50
For insurance up to $100.00 value, ADD $3.00
For insurance over $100.00 value, ADD $5.00 and note value desired.
