GoneCamper Visits Red Rock Crossing

The GoneCamper minivan conversion provides a comfortable and economical vehicle for day trips, too!

You would never drive a motor home to work. You would never drive a truck towing a camper to the grocery store. You are not allowed to drive large vehicles or vehicles towing trailers into many congested tourist attractions.

But - you can drive your GoneCamper minivan camper ANYWHERE!

One of the benefits of living near Sedona, Arizona is the unlimited - and breathtaking - sightseeing! We recently took the GoneCamper minivan to Red Rock State Park and Red Rock Crossing for some hiking and photography. The GoneCamper installs in the Dodge Caravan (or any other vehicle with a four-foot by eight-foot cargo area) and does NOT require removal to drive the minivan for day trips or commuting.

The GoneCamper minivan conversion includes a retractable bed that still allows the use of the second row of seats to carry passengers during or between camping trips. The camping package does not interfere with daily usage of the minivan. We simply remove the upper 5-gallon water jug, propane stove and 12-volt cooler. The rest of the camping equipment rides in the drawers.

In between camping trips we also remove the tri-fold foam mattress. The mattress stores on end in a closet in our house until needed for the next trip.

Before you ask, "But why drive a minivan?", let me remind you that the Dodge Caravan gets over 25 miles per gallon. Our other vehicle is a 4x4 pickup that gets between 15 and 18 mpg. It's a "no brainer" to drive the economical - AND very comfortable Dodge Caravan including the GoneCamper conversion for day trips!

Here is a short recap of our recent trip to Red Rock State Park and Red Rock Crossing - some of the most spectacular scenery near Sedona, Arizona!

Why not join us on the road? You can enjoy economical transportation PLUS an efficient and comfortable camping experience in your own GoneCamper!
