In this video, I demonstrate how easy it is to place, adjust and remove the Reflectix window insulating panels.
Reflectix is comprised of a layer of bubble insulation sandwiched between two layers of reflective foil. Each panel is customized to fit the window and labeled. There are a total of SEVEN panels required to "black out" your GoneCamper package: three side windows on the driver's side and three side windows on the passenger's side, plus one panel for the rear hatch window.
These Reflectix window covers are fairly simple to create yourself. Reflectix is available at lumber yards, hardware stores, and online. I can create a set of window covers - including vented covers for the front and center windows for the Dodge Grand Caravan - for $200.00. This is an EXTRA cost option. Since we have this model minivan, these window covers can be made in advance of picking up your GoneCamper. However, for other brands of minivans, I must have the vehicle to make patterns and cut the Reflectix - so please allow a few extra hours in the delivery process. In all cases, we suggest ordering an exact fit windshield cover - AND side window "Auto Vent Shades" - online.
